THE STATION OF THE CROSS
The station of the cross are a meditation on the _final hours of Jesus' life.
In ancient times,pilgrims would walk to Jerusalem from Africa,Europa,and others parts of the Easter.Their pilgrimage would end with walking the via dolorosa: the path walked by Jesus to his execution.Hundreds of years later,those who couldn't make the long journey to Jerusalem began walk local pilgrimages,visiting special places or setting up icons of Jesus'passion to meditate on. These mini-pilgrimages have spread thought the world and are practiced by many christian traditions. This years, Episcopal Churches in the same area are walking the way of the Cross,and stopping to pray with and for people,places and agencies which represent Jesus'values of piece,love and humility in the Mission.Let see the picture here of Via Sacra....
LAS ESTACIONES DE LA CRUZ
Es una forma de meditacion, recordando la agonia de jesus antes de su muerte.
En tiempos Ancestrales,peregrinos caminaban a Jerusalem desde Africa,Europa, y otras partes del Este. Los Peregrinos terminaban su caminata con la Via dolorosa: el camino que Jesus recorrio antes de su Ejecucion.Cientos de anos despues,aquelos queno pueden hacer el largo peregrinarje a Jerusalen,lo comenzaran ha hacer en forma local;visitando lugares especiales o poniendo iconos de la pasion de Jesus para meditar.Estas practicas por cristianos tradicionalmente.
Este ano , la Iglesias Episcopales de el are SOMA, caminando las estaciones de la Cru, por el districto de la MIssion para orar con la gente y por la gente, en lugares y agencias que representan los valores de Jesus de Paz, Amor,y Humildad.Tambien se paraban en lugares donde hay habido actos de violenci, para orar por aquelos que la han experimentado en nuestra comunidad en neste ano.
